At the Amen Clinics, we do not take a one-size-fits-all cookie-cutter approach to treatment something that is unfortunately far too common in the mental health field. Instead, we treat each patient as an individual. We use a comprehensive approach to understand our patients and create targeted treatment plans based on their individual brain and unique situation.

A good way to begin is to have a phone conversation with one of our patient care coordinators. During this conversation, we will give you information about our policies, procedures, and the evaluation process. We will also provide information about SPECT imaging, follow-up treatment, and available pricing/payment options.

Most importantly, this conversation will help you determine whether an evaluation with the Amen Clinics is appropriate for your specific situation. In some cases, following this conversation, we may recommend a brief phone consultation with one of our psychiatrists or physician’s assistants prior to making the final decision to proceed with an evaluation at Amen Clinics.

Welcome to the Amen Clinics and to our website.

Hi, I’m Dr. Daniel Amen. I started the Amen Clinics in 1989 and it has been a very exciting journey helping people with a wide range of issues, from attentional problems, anxiety issues, mood problems, autism, obsessive compulsive disorder, addictions, obesity, memory, learning and behavioral problems. Plus, we help people without problems who want a better brain and a better life.

One of the unique aspects of our work is that we use brain SPECT imaging and other diagnostic tools, such as QEEG, and appropriate laboratory studies when appropriate, to help us understand and treat our patients. Plus, we use natural treatments whenever possible.

We study our outcomes with patients and have very high success rates, which are even better when patients do what we ask. 78% of our patients who complete our 6 month follow up evaluations show high levels of improvement. It is above 85% for our highly compliant patients. This is very exciting considering that many of our patients are complicated and have often failed other treatment providers.
